Carey Williamson

Carey Williamson – Accounting

Carey is a proud graduate of Mott.  She has also received certification through H&R Block.  She was born and raised here in Flint which she says makes her a "Flintstone!"  She has worked in accounting for 7 years.

Certanya Walton

Certanya Walton – Director of Group Homes

Certanya is the director of our group homes.  She has been at CAC since 1999.  She likes cooking and beautifying homes.  She loves pets. Certanya also has this to say: "I love the consumers we provide services to.  Not only are their needs important to me, but also the desires of their hearts."

Melanie Altene

Melanie Altene - Administrative Assistant

Melanie studied in the Interpreter training program at Mott Community College and graduated in 2012 with an associate’s degree in Applied Science.  After graduation, she began working for CAC and has held many different positions within the company.  During her free time she loves spending time with her family, traveling, learning new things, watching movies, baking, and doing volunteer work.

Cori Foster

Cori Foster - Staff Sign Language Interpreter

Cori is a Michigan native (with a Deaf family) who graduated from the Interpreter Training Program at Mott Community College in 2003.  Cori has been with the CAC team for more than ten years.  Other than being nationally certified, Cori also holds Michigan Endorsements in the areas of: Medical/Mental Health, Legal, and DeafBlind.

Damon Pendygraft

Damon Pendygraft – Maintenance

Married and the father of two young children, Damon enjoys learning how things work.  Whether it's breaking down machines, renovating properties, helping people work through health issues, or learning new languages, Damon is always looking for new things to learn and new ways to use what he learns.  This desire has led him to obtain licenses in nursing and construction.  He uses his skills every day with the goal of improving friendships and relationships along with buildings and landscapes.

Dave Schott

Dave Schott – Accounting Manager

Dave worked for CAC finance department from 2007 – 2010 and rejoined the finance department during 2013 as the staff accountant and has since been promoted to accounting manager.  Dave holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Michigan.  He and his wife have a son, and are very active in sports.

Rinita Bose

Rinita Bose – Human Resources

Rinita holds a MBA in Human Resources, and has worked with organizations in various sectors such as information technology, education, oil and gas, defense, and so on.  She loves to read, paint, and spend time with her daughter.

Marie Mofield

Marie Mofield – Community Interpreting Coordinator

Marie is a Flint native and daughter of Deaf parents.  She has future goals of becoming an interpreter.  She has been with CAC since 2011.  In her free time she enjoys watching her son play baseball.

Mary Croff-Wlodek

Mary Croff-Wlodek – Director of Senior Services for the Deaf, Deafblind, and Hard-of-Hearing

Mary runs our program for Deaf, Deafblind, and hard-of-hearing senior citizens to help with the educational, health, and financial struggles they face in today’s world.

Dr. Max Ryser

Dr. Max Ryser - Executive Director

Max is originally from Illinois, and moved to Michigan from Arizona with his wife and pets.  Prior to becoming director at CAC, Max worked as a case manager, program supervisor, and a certified/licensed counselor.  He holds degrees from Gallaudet University, Northern Illinois University, and A.T. Still University.  In his personal time, Max enjoys oil painting, reading, computers, video games, staying fit (or trying to), and hanging out with friends.

Peter Virtue

Peter Virtue -- Project Manager

Peter holds a master's degree from George Fox University.  He has worked at CAC for over 10 years.  He is dedicated to providing the best aides and teachers to our students at MSD.  He is actively involved in the Deaf Community here in Flint.  He and his wife Kim have 13 wonderful grandchildren.
